Cambridge Folk Festival

We’re delighted to share an opportunity to perform at the Cambridge Folk Festival 2024!

We are incredibly excited to announce that we have partnered with Cambridge Folk Festival and launched a folk music course for musicians ages 11-18! This 4-day course will see its participants discover the complexities of folk music, whether you’re a grade 8 musician, just starting out or have never played an instrument before, this is the opportunity to start your folk music adventure.
Participants will explore the distinctive qualities of folk music, including pathways to playing within an ensemble, performance opportunities, and the foundations of writing folk music.
We welcome all instruments and all abilities. From Guitar and Violin to Trumpet, Jaw Harp and Singing, and from complete novice to experienced players. The culmination will see its participants open the Cambridge Folk Festival on the 25th July with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
For £150 this 4-day course includes 3 days of workshops from Monday 22nd July with folk specialists from Cambridgeshire Music and the Cambridge Folk Festival, expert mentors on how to further your love of folk music into a career, plus a ticket for yourself and your parents/ carers to the Thursday of the festival with lunch provided daily.
