For students working towards Grade 5 Theory or needing support with GCSE music or composition.

An accessible and enjoyable approach to music theory, covering all the major topics in the ABRSM/Trinity Grade 5 syllabus. The course will work through the basics of clefs, pitch and rhythm notation, filling gaps in the students’ knowledge, moving through key signatures, scales and intervals and on to the more advanced topics of chords, cadences, harmony and transposition. Will also include tips, tricks and clever shortcuts to exam success.

FOR: Students who have an understanding of music reading and learn an instrument at Grade 4 or above. This is for non-academy students.
