Welcome to the second stage of your Academy journey.
Continue to develop different musical genres and styles through an instrument, your voice or technology in a 30 minute 1 to 1 session with guidance from a specialist.
Access Musicianship, Music Theory and Aural training and small and large ensemble activities encompassing creativity and traditional music reading whilst playing with others.
In the contemporary pathway, develop band skills, song writing and recording techniques.
If desired, work towards nationally recognised external assessments.
Academy 2 offers a combination of ensemble and orchestral experience on a weekly basis in term time for those playing their orchestral instruments at approx. Grade 3 standard and above. The academy nurtures specialist woodwind, string, brass and percussion ensembles as well as a full orchestra.
Throughout the term, our team work with students to explore a variety of repertoire following a theme and embark on a collaborative creative project as well to allow students to explore composition and improvisation within a group context. The last session of each term culminates in a lively and enjoyable performance for parents and friends.
The cost of membership is £70 per month. This includes Instrumental 30 min lessons, Music Theory, Musicianship & Aural, Ensemble and Instrument Loan. We welcome new players to come along for a free taster session before signing up.
Academy Lite
If you’re looking to access the Academy Ensemble and the Musicianship and Theory groups, without instrumental tuition and loan, then the Academy Lite option is for you. For more information, talk to our Business Team or your Academy Manager.
The cost of membership is £94 per term or £23.50 per month. This includes full membership of the Ensemble and Theory & Musicianship. We welcome new players to come along for a free taster session before signing up.
