Sign up for a fantastic songwriting experience this September.
Many of us grow up dreaming about being able to write and record our own songs, but Sing For Your School is a project that actually makes it happen. The Cambridgeshire-wide songwriting initiative will be running from September 2018 and supports students and teachers to write, record and perform their own song – all the way from composition, to post-production and online release.
The project is open to whole classes, year groups and key stages, individual singer-songwriters or bands. The theme for this year is 'wild open spaces', so pupils can be inspired by visits to local nature reserves, wildlife sanctuaries, gardens or other natural spaces. The project culminates in March 2019.
We provide a work scheme and resources to help develop song-writing talents, and the resources this year also suggest links to the key-stage two science curriculum because of the nature theme. It’s a great way to help improve pupils’ understanding and confidence in creating lyrics and melodies.
Make sure that your school doesn’t miss out on this superb experience. You can see more in the "Projects" section of our website now.
