CAMBRIDGE AREA MUSIC CENTRE

The Cambridge Area Music Centre is one step up from school-based orchestras and offers more intensive ensemble work each week in term time for those from Grade 2 and up. The Centre nurtures specialist woodwind, string, brass and percussion ensembles as well as a full orchestra.

To get the most from the music centre, you are strongly encouraged to stay for the whole evening. The last session of each term culminates in a lively and enjoyable performance for parents and friends.

Venue and Timetable

At the Anglia Ruskin University Music Department, East Road, Cambridge, Fridays 5.30-8.00pm. The ensembles for brass, wind, strings and percussion meet at 5.30pm; everyone then comes together at 6.30pm to make the inspiring sound of the full orchestra.
