CYWO has enjoyed a long history of innovative and engaging wind orchestra performance.

In recent years, CYWO has formed a partnership with the Corps of Army Music which has enabled the opportunity to work with some of the Corps finest conductors.

2020 sees both the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and a celebration of England 1000. In the Autumn and Spring terms, CYWO courses will be tracing the important events in English history over the last 1000 years through music, culminating in a Last Night of the Proms style concert in Cambridge. At the end of the Summer Term they will lead a Cambridgeshire Music Gala music day which will include the opportunity for younger players to join the ensemble in an open rehearsal and concert.
