Music excellence networks bring together schools in a cluster including one or more secondaries and their partner primaries. We provide free support to work together to provide high quality music education, sharing skills and ideas, and raising standards. Music excellence networks can also include local organisations and individuals committed to excellence in music.
In a music excellence network, a designated Music Development Manager works with the schools and other organisations to facilitate effective communication and delivery of sustainable projects. This can include cultural education planning advice, continuing professional development for teachers and financial support for and delivery of large-scale projects. We facilitate collaborative planning and evaluation of the activity, with regular termly meetings with representatives from all members of the network.
Schools are supported to deliver Arts Award and gain Artsmark (evidence of
Partnerships, Value and Ethos)
