Preparation for County Ensembles - for intermediate level players

The Ely Music Centre is one step up from school-based orchestras and offers more intensive ensemble work each week in term time for those from Grade 2 and up. The Ely Centre offers a wind band and string orchestra as well as a full orchestra in which to develop ensemble playing skills.

To get the most from the music centre, you are strongly encouraged to stay for the whole morning. The last session of each term culminates in a lively and enjoyable performance for parents and friends.

You need to play an orchestral instrument at approximately Grade 2 to Grade 5 level and be able to read music. The centre is a string orchestra and wind band leading to full orchestra.

The cost of membership is £49 per term. We welcome new players to come and try it out first.
