Cambridgeshire Music Live is an exciting annual festival of events, that gives young people a taste of world-class music up close – players from top orchestras and bands come into schools and venues across the county to give concerts, run workshops and play alongside young musicians.

For the 2018 Cambridgeshire Music Live Festival, there will be a wide range of musical genres on offer, including brass, classical, early, rock, pop and world music. Festival regulars Academy of Ancient Music, Britten Sinfonia, Goldfield Ensemble, Grand Union Orchestra and Industry Education in Music will be joined by professional bands and ensembles yet to be announced.

Concerts and workshops are targeted for specific key stages, ranging from Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 4. Workshops can be included, tailored to suit individual schools or clusters of schools, and can encompass other artforms. Workshops can also support students to achieve Arts Award Discover.

Cost

£75 per single 45-minute concert (£125 for two concerts in the same school)
£150 per 2 hour session comprising workshop and concert
Special rates may apply for large cluster bookings

You provide

A designated lead person as the main contact for the ensemble
Commitment to ensure all arrangements are in place before your event (parking, resources, refreshments, seating, piano etc.)
Advance notification of any special learning requirements that pupils may have, in order for them to enjoy the best experience
Engagement with project evaluation, supplying data as requested
