CITY OF BIRMINGHAM SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA (CBSO)

Cambridgeshire Music and Cambridge Live have a very exciting project to offer to young musicians, working with City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO). They do not have to be orchestral players but their playing standard must be equivalent to grade 5 or above.

The project is part of the Classical Concert Series at Cambridge Corn Exchange, and the performance will be at the CBSO concert on Thursday 18 January 2018. Taking East Anglian Folk Songs as their inspiration, the selected players will attend improvisational composition workshops and sectional rehearsals for a commissioned piece, with CBSO tutors, and visit the orchestra in Birmingham.

Please note that keyboard players cannot be accommodated on this occasion.
