DATES: January - March 2021
This term-long Music, Arts and Natural World project will see Key Stage 1 children from across Cambridgeshire go on a cross-curricular ‘Journey to the Ugly Bug Ball’.
Inspired by their local surroundings, children will make music, costumes and artwork in response to the natural world that surrounds them. At the end of term, the children will be invited to take part in a performance which brings all the creative elements together: ‘The Ugly Bug Ball!
- 10 weeks of resources for Key Stage 1 designed around the theme of Mini Beasts
- Cross curricular project supporting singing, a range of other arts subjects, and helping to develop
greater knowledge and curiosity about local surroundings and the natural world in young children.
- Created in partnership with the Come and Sing Company and Norfolk Music Hub
- Resources include: An introductory video for each week, mini-beast themed song with a
performance and backing track, teaching tips, story suggestions, activity suggestions (e.g. arts
and crafts, outdoor games)
The cost of the project is £45. This fee includes the option to include all resources on your school’s VLE so that students may access them from home in the event of home learning / lockdown / quarantine.
