We now offer lessons via skype from our studios here in Huntingdon to your home at a time after school convienient to you limiting the need for traveling.
Our tutors will deliever lessons using a series of cameras to best demonstrate technique and sound through a quality live broadcast. Students will also gain access to our Connect platform of online resources coming September 2018.
There are many benefits to learning a musical instrument, or learning to sing, and we can help you every step of the way. We offer individual or group lessons, and we can also lend you an instrument. Nobody is too old to learn. As well as tutoring children from as young as three years of age, we also offer learning opportunities for the ‘late’ starter.
As well as developing instrumental and vocal skills, learning how to play an instrument or sing also helps you to improve many core skills such as memory, co-ordination, self-discipline, motivation, time management, team work, confidence, creativity and imagination .
We offer music lessons in groups or for individual pupils in term time. Lessons are usually 20 or 30 minutes long and given weekly.
Our qualified and experienced tutors are fully vetted, with all appropriate disclosure and barring checks (DBS). They will support your progress and help you achieve your very best.
We also offer ‘wrap around’ services and guidance to help with the learning process, such as bands and ensembles you can join, projects and events to take part in, and advice and guidance on choosing and obtaining the right instrument.
We are a fully accountable service and we welcome feedback. We make sure it is easy for you to communicate with your tutors, and to ask our management team questions.
There are two options for requesting lessons: families can set up a booking request direct online, or some schools can make a booking request for you. You can book as many lessons as you wish at a time, including one-off 'taster' lessons. Once we have received your request, we will attempt to match you with a tutor for your lesson within a few days and confirm by email. You can then make your payment online so that lessons can begin. If it is not possible to provide a tutor, we will add your booking to the waiting list and update you if and when a suitable tutor becomes available.
To get the full benefit of lessons with us, we ask families and schools to provide a suitable space, a strong internet connection, webcamera and to enable and encourage students to practice inbetween lessons. The more you put in, the more you’ll get out!
You will be responsible for buying whatever else you need, such as music books, strings, reeds etc. If you borrow an instrument from us and it gets damaged while in your care, you will need to pay for repairs.
